Kannada Unicode font installation

If you are not able to see the contents of page properly, it means that you don’t have the required Unicode fonts installed in the system.

Installing font in Win XP

Go to Control Panel -- -> Select Regional and Language Options ---- > Click on the Languages tab ---- > Select the check box 'Install files for complex scripts and right-to-left languages (Including Thai)' and ‘Install files for East Asian Languages----> click on OK button. Insert Win XP CD when prompted. Allow the system to copy necessary files. Restart the system. Now you will be able to view the Kannada texts.

For Linux Operating System

Debian (and derivatives like Ubuntu):

Enter the following code on terminal window
apt-get install ttf-kannada-fonts

Fedora:

Enter as root on the console and type in the command
yum install fonts-kannada

Mac and iPhone Users:

Mac : Additional fonts and language kits are required for customers to view web pages in Kannada. For font download packages and detailed installation instructions visit: http://web.nickshanks.com/typography/kannada/. We recommend users to use Mac OS X 10.4 and Safari 2.0 to view the Unicode fonts without trouble

iPhone : Unfortunately iPhone doesn't support any Indian Unicode fonts. We are as eager as you to make our language channels iPhone compatible.
